The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of impactful marketing and communications initiatives across all agencies of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. This position works across the broader Communications Team and provides administrative, digital, content and project support to help ensure communications initiatives, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities are delivered effectively and efficiently.
The position plays an important role in the daily operations of a fast-paced team and supports content creation, coordinating marketing activities and contributing to positive engagement with internal and external audiences.
The incumbent commits to working within Work Health and Safety guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times whilst in the employ of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
Experience supporting the delivery of marketing and communications activities in line with strategies and plans.
Strong interpersonal, relationship and customer service skills. Capacity to develop collaborative relationships and deliver high-quality client service.
Strong communication skills – written, visual and verbal.
Experience with writing, proofreading and editing written content.
Photography skills with a good eye for content.
Experience with social media and online content across a range of platforms.
Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
Strong organisation and time management skills and capacity for multi-tasking.
Familiarity with current marketing and communications practices and processes and awareness of emerging trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or Business
Relevant experience in a similar role or environment
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current Class C Driver’s Licence
Experience with Microsoft, Google Adwords and Analytics, ServiceNOW, SharePoint, SurveyMonkey and/ or Campaign Monitor (Desirable).
Experience with social media management packages such as Hootsuite or Loomly (Desirable).
CMS experience such as Umbraco, Squarespace, WordPress or Craft (Desirable).
