The Catholic Schools Office of Maitland-Newcastle invites applications for casual teaching positions within the Manning region. As part of our esteemed network, you will contribute to the academic, spiritual, physical, and emotional development of students across 58 schools situated in urban, rural, and regional areas. Our team is comprised of over 1,200 educators and 550 support staff members, all dedicated to fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Application Process:
To apply, please submit your expression of interest. Following this, our People and Culture team will review your application. If you are shortlisted, you will be contacted to complete the pre-screening process, which includes NESA registration, Working with Children Check, National Criminal Check, and other requirements.
Upon successful completion and approval, you will receive a casual employment contract, allowing you to engage with our schools through ClassCover. If you have previously worked with the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, please note that you will still need to undergo pre-screening. Be sure to indicate this in your application.
Please be aware that employment within our Diocese can only commence once the pre-screening process is completed, and you have received a casual contract and a green tick on ClassCover.
Desired Skills and Experience
Commitment to Catholic Education: Demonstrate a clear understanding and personal commitment to Catholic Education, actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
Program Planning and Assessment: Ability to plan and prepare contemporary teaching programs and assessments that meet diverse student needs and learning styles, promoting their attainment of potential.
Utilisation of Data: Demonstrated ability to effectively use assessment and school data to enhance educational outcomes.
Collaborative Work: Proven experience working collaboratively with school staff and the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational goals.
Innovation and Improvement: Show an innovative and agile mindset that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher.
Active NESA Accreditation.
Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
Completion of anaphylaxis training.
