The purpose of this position is to work in conjunction with the centre leadership team to provide direct supervision to the day-to-day operational activities within each of the rooms, including nursery, toddlers and preschool.
The Room Leader will provide supervision, coaching and support to the room, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and lead the implementation of educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and best practice.
This role involves reporting on staff performance and conduct to the Assistant Director, as well as offering pedagogical input to the Educational Leader to support the continuous improvement of program delivery.
This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, located at our MedowieService.

Experience / Criteria
In depth understanding of:
The vision, principles, practices and outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework.
National Quality Standards
WHS legislation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to engage diverse audiences.
Experience in supporting colleagues to implement effective teaching strategies aligned with contemporary early childhood pedagogy.
Demonstrated ability to assess staff and student strengths and development needs.
Proven commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to contribute to initiatives that enhance the quality and practice within the centre.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care &/ Early Childhood Teaching, as defined by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Care Authority.
Current first aid certificate, anaphylaxis and asthma management training.
Current Working with Children Check.
National Criminal History Check clearance.
Minimum 3 year's experience in the early education sector (Desirable).
