Job Description

The Role

St Nicholas Early Education supports and partners with families to nurture and inspire children as they develop the skills to flourish at home, in care and in communities. We are currently seeking  Early Childhood Educators (Certificate III and Diploma) to join our well-established service at Branxton on a Permanent Full-time basis.

As a Certificate III or  Diploma-qualified educator at St Nicholas, you will play a vital role in shaping children’s early learning through thoughtful, responsive experiences. You will work in a supportive team culture with opportunities to further your professional growth and feel recognised for your contribution to children, families, and your colleagues. 

You will have the ability to evolve in your role and progress within the organisation through a variety of learning and development pathways.

Desired Skills and Experience

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • The capability to engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
  • Knowledge of health, hygiene and the nutrition needs of children
  • Experience in / or interest in additional needs / challenging behaviours

Demonstrated understanding of:

  • National Quality Framework (NQF);
  • Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF);
  • Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting and Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An approved Certificate III or Diploma level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations
  • Child protection qualification
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
  • Working with Children Check verification number
