Job Description

 

The Role
We are currently seeking Trainee - Early Childhood Educators (Diploma) to join the teams at several of our successful and well-established services across the Newcastle, Maitland and Hunter regions.

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you will undertake a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and whilst on the job, assist with the implementation of daily routines for the children and contribute to the development of programs which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), play based learning and the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of programs which reflect the emerging skills and interests of children.

You will have the ability to evolve in your role and progress within the organisation through a variety of learning and development pathways.

These opportunities will be offered on a temporary (maximum-term) basis .

You will also have the opportunity to apply for permanent positions across any of our St Nicholas Early Education services upon completing your qualification and traineeship.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS/CRITERIA

•    Hold an approved Certificate III CHC3011 or CHC30121 for direct entry into the Diploma qualification
•    To undertake the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care work based Traineeship 
•    Working With Children Check 
•    Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
