We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Centre Director to join St Nicholas’ leadership team. The Director will play an integral part in building the centre's educational team and establishing the service as a leading provider of early childhood education and care in the Muswellbrook community. You will be joining a long-standing passionate team with a full staffing profile, ensuring a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Our leadership team are a highly valued part of the St Nicholas Early Education family, who work very closely and support one another to deliver high-quality and consistent services to our families and community. St Nicholas Early Education also has a robust training, development, and mentoring program that sets our team up for success.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Director to showcase their expertise in the Early Childhood profession. The successful applicant will play a key role in the success of our Muswellbrook Centre and will be able to collaborate with the St Nicholas leadership team. They will also possess the initiative, maturity, and leadership skills required to build a team and service in a growing community.
This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, located at our Muswellbrook Service.
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
Minimum 3 years' experience in same role
Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training
Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
Demonstrated knowledge of services requirements of the CCSS (childcare subsidy system) and ability to perform software application for compliance.
Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations
Demonstrated ability to successfully support the Early Learning Years Framework with the centre curriculum
Previous experience in successfully managing a budget for an Early Education Centre
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Children’s Services or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching as identified by Australian Children’s Education and care Authority
Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
Working with Children Check verification number
DEC approved child protection training certificate
