Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a qualified OOSH Educator/ Responsible Person to join our well-established service at Merewether Beach.

This opportunity will be available on a permanent part-time basis working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs for children aged 5 – 12 years old.

As an OOSH Educator you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high quality childhood education and care to children.

Desired Skills and Experience

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Experience in an OOSH service.
  • Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories.
  • Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting.
  • Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices.
  • Ability to maintain high level of understanding and respectful relationships with parents, carers, children and young people to address the needs of Indigenous communities and families on the wellbeing of their children.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An approved Certificate III or Certificate IV in School Age Education level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations;
  • Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training;
  • Working with Children Check verification number.
